Cleaning Service Technician

Southport is looking to grow its dedicated team with the addition of a part-time Cleaning Service Technician, reporting to the Manager, Properties. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining and public areas
  • Report on inventory levels of cleaning supplies
  • Maintain accurate records and MSDS sheets for all cleaning products
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment
  • Effective communication with Supervisor
  • Follow Southport and Workplace Safety and Health Procedures and Policies

Core Competencies:

  • Must have the ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Detail-oriented while working at an efficient pace
  • Reliable/bondable
  • Physically able to perform shift tasks which include: walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, crouching, and able to lift 35 lbs
  • Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's licence
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • Cellular phone with data plan
  • Ability to work days and some evenings as required

Education and Experience:

  • Experience involving cleaning in commercial offices, recreation, accommodation and public related areas
  • Education and work history that demonstrates a strong work ethic
