Vic Gerden has a background of managing large teams and multifaceted aviation operations and aerospace-related projects. His early career was with the Canadian Forces where he held positions of increasing responsibility dealing with national and international aviation operations including fighter operations, aerospace testing, surveillance systems, flight and leadership training. Brent GilbertBrent Gilbert

Brent Gilbert was born in MacGregor, Manitoba.  Following high school, he studied at the University of Winnipeg earning a Bachelor of Education degree.   Following a brief teaching career in Portage la Prairie, Brent entered the insurance brokerage business with Stewart-Greenslade Limited, a well known and respected insurance brokerage firm in Portage.  While working with Stewart-Greenslade, he entered into the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada’s Canadian Certified Insurance Broker professional development program earning his CCIB designation.  Recently, Brent was granted the Chartered Sales Professional designation by the Canadian Professional Sales Association.... Wayne KlippensteinWayne Klippenstein

Wayne Klippenstein has called Portage la Prairie and district home for the majority of his life. He grew up on the family farm west of Portage and is a graduate of Macgregor Collegiate Institute.

Graham StarmerGraham Starmer

Graham Starmer was born in Epping, England, and has had an extensive career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.

Graham was a National Program Coordinator for the RCMP, managing intelligence related to Eastern Europe and coordinating foreign services information.  This position led to his appointment as Senior Intelligence Officer with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, an agency responsible for identification of threats to Canada’s national interests. Roberta ChristiansonRoberta Christianson

Roberta Christianson was born in Lurgan, N. Ireland coming to Canada as a child. Since graduating from Arthur Meighen High School, Roberta has been employed as a legal secretary, loans administrator for a financial institution, a book keeper and office manager for both a management company and a professional organization.

Roberta has had a long and varied interest in volunteerism. She is currently Chair of the Manitoba Foundation for the Arts and Secretary for Manitobans for the Arts. Doug McLennanDoug McLennan

Doug McLennan was born in Brandon, Manitoba.  He was a member of 82 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets before attending Royal Military College and graduating in 1974 with a Chemical Engineering degree.  He attained his Canadian Forces pilot wings in 1975 and continued in the military, holding positions of increasing responsibility including as Commandant of the Canadian Forces Flying Instructors School at (then) Canadian Forces Base Portage from 1986-1989.

Owen Kenneth McKenzieOwen Kenneth McKenzie

Born in Portage la Prairie and raised on farm west of Portage (Burnside), his family has served the community and surrounding area since 1868.

Dale LyleDale Lyle

Dale Lyle is a Manitoban at heart. He was born in Winnipeg and finished his high school years in Carman. He then moved to Neepawa to begin his career in municipal government. During his time there, he completed both the Certified General Accountant designation and the Certified Manitoba Municipal Administrator program. It was in Neepawa that Dale also met his wife Rhonda.

Vic GerdenPeter Young

Peter Young has an extensive background in flying training with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was born in Toronto, Ontario and enrolled in the RCAF in 1977. He earned his RCAF pilot wings in 1979 and began his career in the military.

In his 37-year career, Peter made significant contributions to the RCAF. Peter was on the frontlines when contracted flying began at Southport in 1992, after the privatization of former CFB Portage la Prairie. Vic GerdenKen Webb

Ken Webb is a professional engineer with an esteemed career focused on project management, education and aerospace. Originally from Winnipeg, Ken received his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from the Royal Military College of Canada, followed by a Master’s Degree from University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

Ken’s career began in public service, first in the Department of National Defense, followed by Manitoba Energy and Mines and Manitoba Highways and Transportation.
