Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) are aircraft mechanics
licensed by Transport Canada to certify aircraft maintenance. In
Canada, only an AME can sign a maintenance release for work CHARACTERISTICS
performed on an aircraft. Southport, Manitoba has the only

5. Attend Level 1 classes at RRC Stevenson

6. Work (approximately 1,800 hours)

7. Attend Level 2 classes at RRC Stevenson

8. Work (approximately 1,800 hours)

9. Attend Level 3 classes at RRC Stevenson

10. Work (approximately 1,800 hours)

11. Attend Level 4 classes at RRC Stevenson

12. Receive Red River College Diploma

13. Work (complete remaining of 7,200 hours & log book tasks)

14. Study for exam

15. Write Canadian Aviation Regulations Exam
