Southport Indigenous Scholarships

As a part of this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, Southport distributes thousands of dollars every year to students pursuing post-secondary education. Southport is continuing their annual Indigenous Scholarship in which a total of $2,000 will be awarded to Indigenous community members pursuing post-secondary studies.

Donating 1% of all annual revenues earned back to the community and throughout the region through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program is one way Southport proudly supports its community. Since 2020, this has resulted in over $200,000 being returned to the community.

To be eligible for the 2023 Southport Indigenous Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be Status, Non-Status, Inuit, or Métis.
  • Have resided in the Central Plains Region for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Be admitted to, and enrolled in, a post-secondary educational program commencing within the current fiscal year (Apr 2023-Mar 2024)*.

Applicants are asked to submit their Application Letter to marketing@southport.ca, detailing the following:

  1. The post-secondary educational program that they are enrolled in;
  2. What their plans are upon completion of their academic program;
  3. How they exemplify Southport’s commitment to philanthropy and volunteerism within their community;
  4. And, why they believe themselves to be the best candidate for the scholarship.

Southport recently updated our corporate values, and we ask that your application aligns with these values and the overall mission and vision of Southport Aerospace Centre Inc.
