Southport is pleased to offer 204 rental properties ranging from two to four bedrooms complete with yards and garages. There are two main types of housing. One is in our new residential development, Centenaire South, and the second in our main residential area that includes 188 of the properties.
Southport is committed to preserving a desirable lifestyle for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life. There is currently a waiting list of people who want to move into our Residential Units to enjoy a peaceful country lifestyle with the amenities of the city only 3km away. There is, however, availibility in our Centennaire South Units.
Residential Units
With unobstructed views of the prairie landscape and open sky, the Southport community offers 204 duplex style units ideal for families as they offer privacy, large yards and detached garages.
In April 2017, Southport began a Residential Housing Upgrade Project to renovate these residential units This project ensures that the units are continually modernized and allows for other necessary upgrades to take place.
*Monthly rent does not include utilities. Security deposit is half of a month's rent.

Southport offers many things for residents and visitors to do, whether you're looking to get your heart rate up with exercise or looking for a fun way to relax and unwind. At the Central Plains RecPlex, we offer rock climbing, fitness classes, a gymnastics club, fitness equipment, and an indoor track. If you prefer the great outdoors, Southport has a ball diamond, soccer fields, and tennis courts available for rent.

Centennaire South is a new rental housing development located in Southport, Manitoba, just 7 minutes from downtown Portage la Prairie. Established in 1992 as a not-for-profit property management and development company, Southport is a welcoming community with plenty of amenities. Our tenants are proud to call Southport home. Resident Perks
Southport residents receive a 10% discount on 1-year memberships at the on-site Central Plains RecPlex and priority registration at the on-site Portage Day Care Center.

Families will love the park and playground on site and the Four Winds Cultural Centre, located in Southport's Interpretive Park. The newly renovated 5-pin bowling alley features 5 lanes, an accessible entrance, and options for glow bowling and bumper rails, making it suitable for bowlers of all ages and abilities. Complete your night out with a snack, pizza, or a cold beverage at Brews and Bites.
If the greens are calling your name, book a tee time at Southport Golf Club for 9 holes of golf. It also features the only driving range in the area. After a round or two, enjoy a meal or snack at our newly renovated and licensed clubhouse.
